This I Believe
I thought it was very interesting how the man in the first article used a form of martial arts to teach him lessons about his own personal life as a teacher. This can go to show that being educated in one area does not mean that you are limited to that area. I also liked how the man in the second article used education to better himself and his life. I think many people that come from what this man comes from might not have any self worth or self value, leading them to stay on the streets. But this man is focusing on letting go all of that stuff and bettering himself through education. The last article is also very interesting because the author poses a question about truly being smart. Though his "nona" had no schooling whatsoever, she learned many skills and traits from job experience and even life experience. The author even stated that he learned valuable lessons from her, some of which he probably wouldn't have learned in school. This goes to show that all types of education should be valued, not just schooling.
